Brian Johnson is a Nurse Practitioner, extensively trained in the assessment, diagnosis and management of a variety of Orthopedic injuries and conditions. He attended Northeastern University (Boston MA), where he received both his B.S. Nursing and M.S.N. Nurse Practitioner degrees. He then completed additional training to become an RNFA — Surgical First Assistant.
He has worked alongside Dr. Van Flandern in both Surgery and Clinic since 2007.
He specializes in management of both acute and chronic Hip and Knee disorders, utilizing the most innovative conservative therapies and diagnostic guided injections – including PRP, Hyaluronic Gels, Zilretta, and Cortisone.
Brian is accredited by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners (MCNP), New Hampshire Nurse Practitioner Association (NHNPA), and the National Association of Orthopedic Nurses (NAON). He is currently a member of the MCNP legislative team and has been very active over the past decade advocating for Nurse Practitioner practice advancement in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Brian currently resides in Milton MA with his wife Caitlin and 4 young daughters. He is an avid sports fan, a former D1 Soccer player – and although he wishes he had more time for golf, treasures his weekends coaching or spending time with his girls!
