Dr. Wuerz and his team are top of the line. This is how all medical care should work. If you have bilateral hip impingement (which I was diagnosed with by other doctors in 2019), this is the expert to see.

I returned to the US from my government posting abroad after hearing that Dr. Wuerz was the best of the best experts for hip impingement/FAI. Dr. Wuerz independently confirmed my diagnosis (FAI + labral tears on both hips) and constructed a path forward that involved evaluating PT, cortisone injections, and possibly surgery. I ultimately needed surgery on each hip, and am very happy with the results.

The team surrounding Dr. Wuerz reflects the quality of his care. His PA, Stephen Wright, was extremely knowledgeable and played a major role in my care. His assistant, Nina, worked through my endless questions about how to move forward with two surgeries (one for each hip) during COVID. As a bonus, all three (Dr. Wuerz, PA Stephen, Asst Nina) have excellent bedside/patient manner. Appointments were on time. I always received clear, easy-to-understand answers to my medical questions. Surgery and PT in the months following surgery (both of which took place at the Baptist in Dedham) went swimmingly. Dr. Wuerz' care network end-to-end was highly efficient.

I went from being completely unable to run/exercise without pain in 2019 to well on the path to recovery and being pain free in 2020. If you have hip impingement, I highly recommend you see him for care. I never post publicly, but this team is exceptional and deserves the praise.

I have unfortunately seen 3 different doctors in this practice due to injuries I sustained. Reason for 3 doctors is 3 different body parts and each doctor there has their specialty. This review will be based off 2 of the doctors I have seen there, I will write a second review about the third. I had a shoulder injury and I ended up being treated by Suzanne Miller, MD. There are not enough words to describe how fantastic she is. She is so caring, patient and actually will look at you, and hear what your saying. She was always so responsive to everything I was going through and her treatment was always spot on. I had also ruptured my hamstring and went back to see Dr. Miller ( stupidly after trying a totally different orthopedic dr /office who did not treat the hamstring injury correctly) . Again, she was nothing short of amazing. Her, her staff that work with her were always helpful and available. Again her treatment of the injury and her honesty about the future limitations I was going to have was upsetting to hear, but honest. She gave me options for treatment and thoroughly explained consequences of surgery vs no surgery. I ended up no surgery , we went the conservative route and she supported me fully through the recovery.

I saw Dr. Wuerz there for bilateral hip bursitis and I found his PA Steve Wright to be wonderful. He was attentive, caring and thorough. Dr. Wuerz was very nice to, I found him to be thorough also, looking beyond the hips to see if something in my back was causing the hip pain.

I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Suzanne Miller, PA Steven Wright and Dr. Wuerz.

I have used 2 of the orthopedic Doctors in this practice. Back in 2012 Dr. Curtis did a "major clean up" on my shoulder. Yes, you are going to have to wait for him (bring a book or a fully charged phone) but he's good at what he does. Then a few years later I saw Dr. Richmond for knee issues, I did end up needing surgery . He was AMAZING, he spends time explaining your issue and will answer all your questions. I believe he no longer is doing surgery but still sees patients. Fast forward to this year and I had an issue with my shoulder again so back to BSSC, I saw Dr. Curtis's PA Irene. I didn't have to wait long to see her. She ordered a MRI and put my mind to rest when she said "a cortisone shot and PT. Many weeks later I'm doing much better and have avoided a second surgery on my shoulder.

Yes you will have to wait to see some of these MDs and PAs in this office but it's worth it. And yes it's a pain in the butt to get them on the phone at times, but it's worth it.

I had the best experience at Boston Sports and shoulder .There was a woman that work there by the Name of Kiana I hope I spell her name right. Very outgoing very respectable person. I came in the office and saw Jason Rand he recommend me to get euflexxa injection. Spoke with the woman Keanu and she stated she would like to give me an update on the status of my euflexxa injection she. stated that it did get approved by UR she was just waiting on the adjuster to signed fee agreement. once Your adjuster signed the fee. I will call you back to booked your appointment. So Keanu call me back within two days and booked my appointment .I just want to knowledge how polite respectful and how she went above and beyond her job to update me on the status of my euflexxa Wish everyone can be so kind and polite like she was.

I used this office to get a second opinion for a shoulder issue. Saw Dr. Weitzel and his PA. Visit was very thorough and was very helpful. Dr. Weitzel is very professional, confident without being arrogant and his PA Mr. Pacheco was very thorough and knowledgeable. Dr. Weitzel suggested an alternative to surgery I had planned, and so far it's working out well. Their office is busy and appointment ran later than scheduled, but Dr. apologized for delay. I was very impressed with their whole operation and will likely go back to them for follow up issues if they arise.

P.A. "Jason Rand" is reason enough to go to BSSC. He is amazing. Attentive. Listens to exactly what the patient wants. I've had a lot of complications on my knees the past few years, which forced me to have two prosthetics put in recently.

As anyone knows trying to get a CT scan, MRI, x-rays etc. from a medical faculty is sometimes like pulling teeth, not with Jason! I requested numerous ones in the past from Lahey Clinic w/o success. I kept having pain in my knees after the first surgery, and Jason listened to me and ordered exactly what I asked for (even though I think he felt it was redundant), and they found loose foreign bodies causing my pain that required Dr. Thomas Wuerz to go back in to repair. Unfortunately for me the cement came loose again and Jason asked for further CT scans and MRI's without question. They found that the cement came loose again, and Dr Brian McKeon is going in tomorrow to alleviate the issue.
